TheOpportunity As a Field Technical Engineer within ourElectrophysiology (EP) team you will be responsible for providingexpert support and advise on the use of the Abbott EP portfoliowithin the assigned territory. What Youll Work On - Provide expertclinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of all EPproducts and their appropriate application duringelectrophysiological procedures in the hospital (catheterlaboratory) - Maintain up to date technical knowledge of currentand new therapies and technologies within the therapy area,including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding ofthe dynamics of the country healthcare market; discussindustry-specific flagship products and services - Resolve commoncustomer problems and respond to unexpected customer requests witha sense of urgency and positive action - Provide technical supportto the EP salesforce; proactively communicate information anddiscuss product placement and complex case support with sales team;discuss whole range of Abbott EP products and services withphysicians/hospital staff - Understand the business priorities ofinternal and external clients, awareness of sales targets andtrends, marketing messaging and describe desired or actual businessresults in measurable scales or terms Required Qualifications -Bachelors degree in a relevant technical or science related fieldor equivalent - Ideally electrophysiology/cardiac rhythm managementclinical experience - Familiarity with catheter lab and operatingroom procedures and protocol and strong cardiac anatomy &physiology knowledge preferred - Strong communicator with activelistening skills and questioning techniques - A willingness totravel 75% of the time and ability to work autonomously; adaptingwork schedule to procedures duration and coping withirregular/uneven work days
