Are you passionate about science and eager to make a real impact on patients lives? For an innovative and growing biopharmaceutical company, we are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to strengthen the team in Belgium.
Your role:
As a Medical Science Liaison, you will be the scientific expert in the field of opioid dependence and related neuroscience topics. You will engage healthcare professionals, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and support clinical and scientific initiatives that contribute to improving patient care.
Your responsibilities:
- Act as a scientific expert in the area of opioid dependence and neuroscience.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), academic centers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Organize and participate in scientific events such as expert meetings, roundtables, congresses, and advisory boards.
- Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials as a local medical contact.
- Identify and map treatment centers and centers of excellence in Belgium to support strategic field initiatives.
- Provide high-quality, balanced scientific information in response to unsolicited external requests.
- Gather field insights to help shape the broader medical and commercial strategy.
- Represent the company at national and international scientific congresses.
- Contribute to internal medical planning, training, and cross-functional collaboration (e.g., Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs).
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal company standards.
Your profile:
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc).
- A minimum of 3 years'' experience in Medical Affairs or as an MSL in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Prior experience in neuroscience or CNS-related therapeutic areas is a plus.
- Experience in small or scaling organizations and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a field-based role.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Solid understanding of compliance, regulatory, and medical governance frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in French is an asset.
