A leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, known for its cutting-edge innovation in vaccines and therapeutic products, is currently seeking an experienced Freelance QA Specialist for a 9-month interim assignment based in the Flanders region of Belgium.
This organization plays a key role in the global healthcare ecosystem, with extensive manufacturing and R&D operations in Belgium, particularly within GMP-regulated environments. The QA Specialist will contribute to the companys quality oversight of critical production and release activities across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide QA support for manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with GMP and internal quality standards
- Review and approve production batch records, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls
- Act as QA contact during shop floor investigations and support root cause analysis
- Participate in internal audits and prepare for regulatory inspections
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QC, Production, Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure timely release of drug substances and drug products
Ideal Profile:
- 5+ years of experience in a QA role within the pharmaceutical or biopharma industry
- In-depth knowledge of EU GMP, with experience in batch review and deviation handling
- Experience in sterile or biotech manufacturing environments is highly valued
- Strong communication and coordination skills, able to work cross-functionally
- Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Able to work independently while adhering to tight deadlines
