Quality Control Manager Personal Care
We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our Plant in Home & Personal Care & Beauty Business Unit, based in Calenzano, near Florence, Italy.
How you make the difference:
The candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing operational quality improvement plans consistent with the companys priorities, ensuring that the Companys quality system is designed and functions correctly.
How your agenda looks like:
- You will manage the Quality Control operators team and verify the acceptance and control activity on raw materials, bulk, finished product carried out by your team and by the line operators.
- You will be responsible for all quality control KPIs and for the development and improvement of analytical methods, calibration and proper use of existing tools and systems.
- You will ensure the consistency of product quality through the design and implementation of quality controls from the production cycle up to the warehouse, analysing any customer and consumer complaints and managing all non-conformities with our suppliers.
- You will also be leading the quality continuous improvement projects in the Plant to enhance our quality culture.
- You will be the main facilitator for all quality topics, collaborating with all the other departments: Plant, R&D, Purchasing and Supply Chain.
- You will be responsible for reviewing and updating all our ISO 9001 procedures and will be a key player in the annual certification audits and in the continuous improvement of the Plant Quality System.
Your team:
You will report directly to our Plant Manager and functionally to our Quality Assurance Senior Manager. You will be managing a team of 2 QC Coordinators and 11 QC Technicians, requiring strong leadership and management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

- Education: Master Degree in Chemical or similar, Chemical or Materials Engineering.
- Work Experience: 4/5 years.
- Strong leader being in close contact with the team.
- Strong conflict management and empathetic listening skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem solving skills.
- Being able to work in a flexible and challenging environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Production processes, quality standards and conformity assessment processes, product testing technologies/systems.
- Knowledge of the reference ISO 9001 standards.
- Office package, in particular Excel; SAP.
- Language: Italian mother language and Business English.
