OVERVIEW
Axalta Refinish is seeking an experienced and high-energy marketing professional to lead all the business Pricing efforts globally as a key member of the Marketing and Commercial Operations Leadership Team. The Refinish Business has a solid growth track record, and this position will be responsible to enable future growth through effective pricing positioning.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead global pricing activities for the business, including direct supervision, recruitment, and career development of pricing analysts professionals globally.
- Drive global alignment across all pricing processes, activities, and applications.
- Lead strategy and operational efforts to set and/or change list price across all customer segments and product lines in close partnership with Global Customer Segment Leaders.
- Lead strategy and set up guardrails to support deal-based price decision making.
- Develop and own pricing process to proactively identify and eliminate price leakages and optimize price.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) in marketing or business or other formal marketing education or strong equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 10 to 15+ years experience in marketing and sales, ideally of high value specialty materials, with a strong track record of driving effective pricing positioning.
- Experience managing people, ideally with experience leading a global group.
- Robust in-depth knowledge of pricing strategies and tactics.
- Experience in managing price across a complex portfolio of customer segments, routes-to-market, and product offerings.
- Willingness to understand the underlying technology well enough to develop effective pricing strategies; a technical degree is not required but strong curiosity and commitment to learning is critical.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders to align and deliver common objectives.
- Under normal (non-pandemic) conditions, significant global travel will be required, generally 20% time commitment.
