In our Sales& Research Center in Brussels we are looking for a BusinessDevelopment Manager PLA Bioplastics. Functieomschrijving AsBusiness Development Manager, you will support our mission todevelop a profitable PLA bioplastics business. You will play acrucial role in commercial and marketing activities. In thiscontext, you will create and implement new market applications bysetting up partnerships along the entire value chain. You will alsodefine and implement processes to achieve ambitious goals. MainActivities Business Development Identify and pursue new businessopportunities aligned with our strategy roadmap and guideopportunities through the sales funnel. Build-up business case toassess commercial & technical viability of new opportunities.Track opportunities using CRM database and monitor/report acommercial dashboard. Set-up partnerships with different actorsalong the value chain to support development and validation of newPLA-based solutions in existing and/or new market areas. Understandcustomer needs and translate that into strong value proposition forPLA. Work in close collaboration with the marketing team and theapplication development team to ensure that adapted technicalsolutions are developed and offered to our customers. Deploy newtechnical solutions into identified market segments throughintensive prospecting of new potential customers. Sales Managerelationships with prospects/customers through all phases of thedevelopment project and negotiate commercial contracts at launchphase. Set targets and ensure profit margins. Market IntelligenceUnderstand and validate the market size and the entire value chainwhen entering a new industry/market, in collaboration with themarketing team. Market Development : Participate in trade shows,conferences, and engage with stakeholders to promote PLA, fosteringcollaborations and partnerships. Scope of the function You willreport directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
