Overview The Risk Officer will report to the Head ofRisk and will support them by assisting in identifying, assessing,and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and contributing to theoverall risk management framework. The Risk Officer will bedirectly accountable for managing Operational / Third PartyManagement / BCM / ICT risk of the Bank. They will also support theHead of Risk in various other aspects of the Risk function. Therole offers the opportunity to directly collaborate with all thestakeholders of the Bank, and to be engaged in most of the riskaspects of the Bank. The candidate should be a solution-orientedperson, curious, capable to work in an international environmentand with various stakeholders. Who We Are Europe Arab Bank SA (EABSA) is a banking institution established in France in 2020 andregulated by the ACPR. EAB SA develops two main businesses, aPrivate Banking business (PB) for non-resident clients and abusiness of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) mainlyfocused on export financing to the Middle East and North Africa(MENA) region as well as project financing in that region. Principal AccountabilitiesOperational Risk: Maintenance, review and revision of theOperational Risk Management Framework in the Bank. Coordinate theproduction and maintenance of the Risk Control Self-Assessmentprocess to ensure that all key risks are identified, andappropriate controls in place to mitigate risks. Manage andfollow up of all Operational Risk events, monitor remediation planstatus. Design, monitor and report Operational risk indicators. Produce and deliver Operational Risk & Fraud awareness trainingto staff members and new joiners. Third Party Management: Maintainthe Third-Party Management framework aligned with best practicesand EBA guidelines. Support the Business in the onboarding of newvendors and collaborate with the various stakeholders to performdue diligences and risk assessments. Maintain an up to dateregister of our vendors / critical vendors. Support thecollection of KPIs and produce reports for the various committees.Business Continuity Management: Supporting EAB SAs ability toanticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptiveevents. This role requires close collaboration with our teams inLondon. Maintain a register of critical functions and systemsused in the Bank. Ensure that contingency plans are maintained,regularly tested, and updated based on evolving risks and businessneeds. Coordinate resilience testing and call tree. ICT Risk:Supporting the Bank in improving its ICT Risk Framework alignedwith DORA. This role requires close collaboration with our teams inLondon. Maintain a register of ICT incident and ensure properescalation. Produce reports for the various committees. Maintain a register of our ICT vendors. Risk Appetite Limits:Ensuring alignment of the risk exposure of the Bank with appetitelimits established by the Board. Monitor all the risk indicatorsof the Bank, escalate any excess. Produce the Credit riskreports. Provide support to the Business to keep liquidity ratios(LCR, LTD) within the appetite limits. Governance: Support theHead of Risk in the production of the Risk reports for the RiskCommittee, ALCO and ExCo. Attend Committees and present the risktopics in your direct coverage. Draft minutes of the RiskCommittee. Required Experience & Qualifications Min 5 yearsexperience as an operational risk manager or in a similar role Solid knowledge of risk management principles and French and EUregulatory requirements applying to the Banking sector, such as:Art 3 Nov 2014, EBA guidelines on Third Management, DORA Bachelors degree in economics, finance, business administration ora similar discipline English: fluent, written &spoken
