About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing structural projects using 3D software such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. The drafter will work from a library of pre-existing structural components to create detailed 3D designs, production drawings, and shop floor drawings, as well as generate Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that each part is properly codified and uploaded into our ERP system (Odoo).
Responsibilities
- 3D Structural Design: Create detailed 3D structural designs using Autodesk Inventor based on client requirements and pre-existing component libraries.
- Production Drawings: Produce accurate production drawings and shop floor drawings in 3D AutoCAD, ensuring all details are captured for manufacturing.
- Bill of Materials (BOM): Generate and manage the BOM for each project, ensuring all parts are accounted for.
- ERP System Management: Codify each part number and upload the associated data into the Odoo ERP system for seamless project tracking and inventory management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other departments to ensure designs meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Quality Assurance: Review designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD in 3D drafting and design, especially for structural projects.
- Strong understanding of structural components, their functions, and design principles.
- Experience with creating and managing BOMs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Odoo, is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of structural design standards and codes is advantageous.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Dutch and English is essential French is a plus. These languages serve as the primary means of communication within the company and with international clients and partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with structural engineering design or related industries.
- Familiarity with advanced AutoCAD features, such as 3D modeling, is a plus.
