Job Opportunity: Security System EngineerS&you, an international brand specializing in Professional Staffing and the selection of qualified personnel, is seeking a Security System Engineer to join a leading company in the space sector.The successful candidate will play a vital role in safeguarding space missions by defining and implementing security guidelines for innovative projects ranging from Earth observation to telecommunications and navigation. Responsibilities include conducting risk analyses, developing cybersecurity policies, and managing certification and accreditation processes to ensure compliance with international standards. Your contribution will be crucial for the success of space missions and the protection of space systems throughout all operational phases.Main Responsibilities:Define security guidelines for space missions, including satellite constellations and advanced technologies.Support the design of security systems for space missions.Conduct security risk assessments and formulate specific cybersecurity policies for space systems.Perform end-to-end security analyses, including risk evaluation and process verification.Manage and oversee security certification processes, including risk management, validation, and accreditation.Required Technical Skills:Cybersecurity and security engineering: Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions for complex systems, with a solid understanding of best practices and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).Risk analysis: Ability to apply advanced methodologies for identifying and analyzing risks in high-criticality environments using specific tools and techniques (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP).Space systems and systems engineering: Experience in designing and managing complex systems, preferably in aerospace or space engineering. Familiarity with space system architectures and mission lifecycle.Advanced communication technologies: Knowledge of secure communication protocols, including those specific to satellite systems and space telecommunications networks.Quantum communication and cryptography: Experience or familiarity with emerging technologies in quantum communications, post-quantum cryptography, and advanced data protection solutions.Management of classified information: Experience in handling and protecting sensitive information, including processes for managing classified information up to the required level (ESA/EU Secret).Knowledge of certification and accreditation processes: Deep understanding of cybersecurity certification processes, particularly related to ESA or EU standards, to ensure compliance with international regulations.Educational background: Master''s degree or PhD in Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Computer Science/IT, or Aerospace Engineering.Experience: At least one year in a high-tech company or relevant academic experience (PhD).Additional experience in space systems engineering, cybersecurity, quantum communications, or cryptography is highly valued.Offer:Direct employment in the company.Work Location:NoordwijkThis opportunity is open to candidates in compliance with Legislative Decree 198/2006 and Legislative Decrees 215/2003 and 216/2003.Interested candidates are invited to read the privacy policy in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679.Authorized by Min.
