Theposition: He/she will support the Head of Direct Procurement inmanaging the procurement activities related to direct goods andservices within Alfasigma organization. This role involvesdeveloping and implementing effective supplier and categorystrategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing supplierrelationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes.The Direct Procurement Senior Category Manager Corporatecollaborates with various departments to understand theirprocurement needs and aligns procurement strategies to support theorganization''s overall goals and objectives. Key responsibilities:Category and Supplier Strategy: - Develop and implement strategicprocurement plans for direct goods and services. - Analyze markettrends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices toidentify procurement opportunities and risks. Supplier Management:- Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, andnegotiate contracts and agreements. - Build and maintain strongrelationships with suppliers, ensuring high-qualityproducts/services and timely deliveries. - Monitor supplierperformance, resolve issues, and implement improvement plans asnecessary. Cost Management: - Optimize costs by negotiatingfavorable terms and conditions with suppliers. - Identifyopportunities for cost savings and implement cost reductioninitiatives without compromising quality or service. Collaborationand Communication: - Collaborate with internal stakeholders (suchas departments requiring direct goods/services) to understand theirneeds and requirements. - Communicate procurement policies andprocedures to internal teams, ensuring compliance and understandingof best practices. Compliance and Risk Management: - Ensurecompliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. -Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supplychain disruptions or supplier financial instability. ContractManagement: - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuringterms are favorable and in compliance with legal requirements. -Monitor contract performance, renew contracts as needed, and managecontract expiration and renewal processes. Data Analysis andReporting: - Analyze procurement data to identify trends, trackperformance metrics, and prepare reports for management. - Utilizedata-driven insights to make informed decisions and improveprocurement processes. Requirements: - Masters degree in Business,Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. - Provenexperience in direct procurement, preferably in a managerial role.Experience in pharma industry as a plus. - API knowledge is a plus.- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintainrelationships with suppliers. - In-depth knowledge of procurementbest practices, contract management, and supplier evaluation. -Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -Proficiency in procurement software and tools. - Familiarity withrelevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement. -Strategic thinker with excellent planning and organizationalskills. - Detail-oriented and results-driven. - Ability to workcollaboratively in a team environment. - Adaptability and abilityto thrive in a fast-paced, changing business environment. - Strongleadership and decision-making capabilities.
