Social network you want to login/join with:col-narrow-leftClient:WeHuntLocation:Job Category:Other-EU work permit required:Yescol-narrow-rightJob Reference:653999468069886361633710Job Views:4Posted:24.05.2025Expiry Date:08.07.2025col-wideJob Description:Our client is an international Corporate & Investment Bank and we are currently looking for an Executive Officer Trade Finance with a focus on Letters of Credit.The candidate will join the Operations Department and, working closely with the Head of Department, will be responsible for:Verifying with the Trade Finance Department that each transaction complies with the banks procedures and the terms of customer facilities, ensuring that all necessary limits and approvals are properly in place;Reviewing each individual transaction starting from the initial receipt, identifying any critical issues in relation to the rules, internal procedures, and internal policies, and proposing appropriate solutions to address them;Handling, verifying, and authorizing all activities related to Import, Export, Back-to-Back, and Stand-by Letters of Credit, including issuance, advising, amendment, document checking, and payment;Examining documents presented under letters of credit;Processing internal/external queries received by SWIFT, email, and telephone to ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner, providing technical expertise when required;Managing the work received related to inward and outward clean and documentary collections, as well as activities related to guarantees, including issuing, amending, and claiming our charges at required periodic intervals;Providing technical assistance and guidance to junior staff.RequirementsDegree in Economics or LawPrevious experience of at least 10-15 years gained in trade finance teams of leading international banksFluent in English (spoken and written)Strong knowledge of letters of credit instruments and related regulationsGreat attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills and a predisposition for teamwork#J-18808-Ljbffr
