POSITION SUMMARY Assist staff with expediting problempayments (e.g., problems processing credit card). Follow up withguest regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues. Process allguest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, andissuing and activating room key. Process all payment types such asroom charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Set up accurateaccounts for each guest upon check-in (i.e., sharewiths, separateroom/tax/incidentals, comp). Anticipate sold-out situations andobtain satisfactory alternative accommodations when the propertycannot accommodate guests with reservations. Block rooms in thecomputer and identify designated requirements and requests. Contactappropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson,Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, orproblem. Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of roomsfor check-in. Review shift logs/daily memo books and documentpertinent information in logbooks. Count bank at the beginning andend of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accountingspecifications. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling,evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and coachingemployees, serve as a role model and first point of contact of theGuarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Reportaccidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager,complete safety training and certifications. Follow all companypolicies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance areclean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietaryinformation. Anticipate and address guests service needs. Speakwith others using clear and professional language, prepare andreview written documents accurately and completely, answertelephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintainpositive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence toquality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for anextended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and placeobjects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds withoutassistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.equivalent. Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of relatedwork experience.
