We are looking for a Logistics Engineer to joinour Italian Plant, reporting directly to the Inbound Logistics& Material Handling Manager working alongside with thedifferent company departments. The figure is responsible foranalyzing, designing, and optimizing logistics and supply chainoperations to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve servicequality. This includes defining and implementing new keyperformance indicators (KPIs) and optimizing activity timelines.Key Responsibilities: - Design and optimize logistics and materialflow to ensure seamless operations in the production area. -Process Analysis and Improvement: Evaluate existing logistics andsupply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.Create workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) tooptimize logistics operations. - Lead projects aimed at enhancinglogistics processes within the Italian plant, with a focus onboosting efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing capacity. - Mapthe current state and design the future state of existing valuestreams in the factory through the application of World ClassManufacturing tools such as: Value Stream Map, Spaghetti Chart,Material Classification, PFEP (plan for each part), 5S and 5T, PullSystem. - Participate in the development of technical solutions toimprove logistic flows, Border of Line, Layout, Minimum MaterialHandling. - Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reducelogistics and transportation costs while maintaining servicequality. Analyze carrier contracts, transportation modes, andwarehousing strategies to minimize expenses. - Define stockplacement strategies in different areas and monitor properallocation. - Critically evaluate the processes, procedures, andphysical and IT tools under his/her responsibility to continuouslyimprove them (continuous improvement), aligning them with newbusiness needs in coordination with the Process Engineeringfunction. - Project Management: Lead and oversee logisticsimprovement projects from initiation through to successfulcompletion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams includingoperations, IT, and procurement to ensure successful projectexecution. Qualifications: Degree in Industrial Engineering, SupplyChain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a relatedfield. Soft Skills: - Experience: 4+ years of experience inlogistics, supply chain, or engineering - Results and teamworkoriented. High level of ownership - Dynamic, able to managechallenging contexts from an industry in expansion - Strongproblem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent communicationand interpersonal abilities. - Effective project management andorganizational skills. - Work autonomously, self-motivated, andable to challenge the status quo. - Languages:Fluent written andspoken Italian and English Curious about our values?
