This role is more directed towards ensuring efficiency and ease of use of the software build tools and pipelines. The DevOps Engineer II uses automation to minimize manual intervention and enhance system efficiency. In this role, the DevOps Engineer II will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish development objectives.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform DevOps activities, including the maintenance, monitoring, documenting, and testing of product builds and packaging to provide quality production buildsConfigure and maintain tools for generating, deploying and monitoring ANSYS product builds on Windows and Linux platforms within Cloud and On-Premises hardware infrastructureAs a member of DevOps team, you will work with development teams to help create automated pipelines and solutions required for continuous deliveryBe an expert in investigating, debugging, and resolving platform-specific build failures and issues in development, testing and production environment to maintain high system reliabilityCollaborate with members of the software development, infrastructure and testing teams to brainstorm best techniques to reduce and resolve complex technological infrastructure, build or packaging problems
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements And ExperienceBachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field3+ years of hands on experience with building continues integration (CI) and continues deployment(CD) pipelines using DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub actions.Experience with writing yaml based pipelines for CICD and Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell or Bash for automation.Strong knowledge of Git and branching strategies and version control tools like Azure Repos or GitHub.Experience with Linux, Docker and ContainersStrong interpersonal, team and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct presentations to stakeholders.Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customerSelf-starter who possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills
Preferred Qualifications And SkillsMasters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fieldExperience with Project tracking tools Azure DevOps Boards, JIRAExperience with tools for scanning vulnerabilities (e.g., SonarQube, CycloneDx).Experience with high performance computingExperience with scientific computing
