HIP is the leading investor in leisure hotels in southern Europe, with more than 22,000 rooms located in the top tourist destinations of Spain, Italy, Greece, and Portugal. HIP is looking for a Research Analyst for its Finance & Corporate Development Department. We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Market Research Analyst to support strategic decision-making through the analysis of hotel and tourism trends. The successful candidate will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor macroeconomic, industry, and consumer trends affecting hotel and tourism performance
- Collect, consolidate and analyze primary and secondary market data to uncover market trends and generate strategic insights
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess market performance
- Prepare clear, data-driven presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Support investment decisions by evaluating market opportunities and identifying potential risks
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and the evaluation of business plan assumptions
- Conduct predictive and scenario analysis to anticipate future market shifts and customer behavior
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure insights are integrated into business planning and execution
Required Qualifications:
- Education: bachelors degree in engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality Management or Finance
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a business analyst role or a related position
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (specifically Microsoft Excel), Powerpoint and familiarity with business intelligence software (e.g. Power BI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and interpret a large amount of information
- Self-motivated, curious, and passionate about the hospitality and tourism industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish

- Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities
- Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships across departments
