We are seeking a Java Architect to join our dynamic team in Brussels . About the Role: As a Java Architect , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our software solutions. You will collaborate with product teams, developers, and stakeholders to create enterprise-level Java applications that drive business success. Your expertise in architecture design, system integration, and performance optimization will be crucial in leading our projects to completion while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of complex Java-based applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver robust and scalable architectures. Provide guidance and mentorship to developers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Evaluate and recommend the latest technologies and tools to optimize system performance and reduce operational costs. Ensure high-quality code, system integration, and smooth deployment across different environments. Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Maintain strong focus on code quality, performance, security, and scalability throughout the software development lifecycle. Champion Agile methodologies, driving iterative development and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Proven experience (2+ years) as a Java Architect , with hands-on expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, high-availability systems. Expertise in Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.), microservices architecture, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.), and modern DevOps practices. Strong understanding of system design principles , design patterns , and enterprise architecture . Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing. Excellent knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), data modeling, and performance optimization. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.). Fluent in English , with excellent communication and leadership skills; additional languages (e.g., Dutch, French) are a plus.
