Role Description: We areseeking a highly organised and experienced Workshop Manager tooversee daily operations at our busy repairs and alterationstailoring studio launching in the business district of La Dfensein Paris. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail,excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage a teamof skilled tailors and studio assistants. As the Studio Manager,you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficientoperations, managing customer relations, supervising staff,overseeing quality control and maintaining a high standard ofcraftsmanship in all repairs and alterations completed. KeyResponsibilities:Operational Management: - Oversee day-to-dayoperations of the studio to ensure seamless workflow and timelydelivery of tailoring services. - Manage the studios serviceassignment ensuring the proper allocation of services to staffbased on skillset and output - Ensure that all equipment, tools,trims and supplies are well-maintained and in working order. -Ordering new stock of fabrics, sewing materials, and otheressential supplies as needed. - Maintain cleanliness andorganisation of the studio, ensuring a safe and comfortable workingenvironment for the team. Staff Supervision and Development: -Oversee the hiring process to ensure a team of qualified tailorswith a diverse skillset who consistently produce good quality andhigh output work - Lead and supervise a team of tailors andassistants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.- Coordinate staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage andmanaging time-off requests. - Foster a positive and collaborativeworking environment by resolving any conflicts or challenges amongthe team. - Ensure that all team members adhere to studio policies,quality standards, and safety regulations. Customer Service andClient Relations: - Serve as the primary point of contact forcustomers, answering inquiries and addressing concerns regardingtailoring services. - Manage customer appointments, ensuringefficient scheduling and effective communication regarding servicetimelines. - Provide expert advice to clients on alterations andrepairs to meet their needs and preferences. - Handle customercomplaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Financial andAdministrative Duties: - Monitor and track revenue, expenses, andprofits, ensuring the studio operates within budget. QualityControl: - Ensure that all alterations and repairs meet thestudios high standards of quality and craftsmanship. - Conductregular checks on finished work before returning items to clientsto ensure accuracy and satisfaction. - Stay up to date withindustry trends, techniques, and best practices to continuouslyimprove service offerings. Qualifications: - Proven experience in amanagement role, preferably within a tailoring, fashion, or retailenvironment. - Fluent in French and English - Strong knowledge ofalterations, repairs, and garment fitting techniques. - Excellentorganisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritisetasks efficiently. - Exceptional communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to interact with customers and staffprofessionally - Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on qualitycontrol and customer satisfaction. - Ability to manage and motivatea team to achieve goals and maintain a positive and passionate workenvironment. - Basic understanding of financial management,including budgeting and invoicing - Familiarity with tailoringtools, fabrics, and sewing equipment.
