Opportunity
We are looking for a Junior Sustainability Engineer to support the team in managing sustainability projects related to products, business processes, and ESG performance communication. The role involves data collection and analysis, certification management, support for sustainability communication, and collaboration with the R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations departments.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Conduct strategic analysis related to business performance and opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
- Assist in the management and updating of sustainability certifications (EcoVadis, Sustainalytics, UN Global Compact, SBTi, CDP).
- Support the collection and analysis of environmental data to measure the impact of products and business processes.
- Collaborate in the development of sustainability communication materials for products, such as Product Carbon Footprint Scorecards.
- Support internal training by helping to prepare presentations and communication tools.
- Contribute to the evaluation of supply chain sustainability by assisting in the collection of supplier information.
- Stay updated on environmental regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of corporate certifications (ISO 9001, product labeling, process audits).
To be successful in this role youll need to have:
- 1-2 years of experience in areas related to product sustainability, LCA, certification management, ESG systems, quality systems, environmental management, or sustainability communication.
- Interest in sustainability certifications and assessments.
- Interest in product certifications and corporate management systems.
- Ability to collect and analyze data in a structured, problem-solving-oriented manner.
- Basic knowledge of LCA methodologies and related analysis tools a plus if already used.
- Aptitude for multidisciplinary work, with an interest in collaborating with different business areas.
- Good command of English to support document and report writing.
- Bachelor''s degree.
