Nidec Conversion is hiring Proposal Manager for Cinisello Balsamo site.The resource will be assigned within the technical-commercial department related to Power Quality / Power electronics business unit.The candidate will be responsible for managing the offer preparation, including technical sizing and cost evaluation/analysis.Strong commitment in transversal activities, such as interaction with R&D, Electrical Engineering and Sales teams is mandatory.The candidate shall contact suppliers for quotations, technical alignment and offer optimization in order to improve the quotation package.PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES and ACTIVITIESThe candidate will:Receive Customers RFQ from the sales departmentInterpret Customers request and identify Customers needs.Analyze of input documentation (Customer specifications and technical bid)Identify the technical solution best fitting the functional and performance requirements (also using various simulation tools for steady state and transient network study) with the lower cost.Estimate the costs of internal and external material, equipment, works and services, constituting the technical solutionKeep contacts with suppliers in coordination with supply chain teamEstimate the workload required by the project in terms of Application Engineering, R&D and Project ManagementPrepare detailed documentation to support a bid for a projectMake remarks and comments to customer project specification relevant to the proposed solutionWork closely with sales and technical teams to provide a complete and competitive technical solutionParticipate in Customer meetings for such as solution presentation, technical clarification, etc.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEEducation and QualificationsUniversity Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experienceMS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.SAP, AutoCad, and any Network Analyzing Tool (Neplan) are preferential titleExperience & KnowledgeTechnical background in Medium voltage Power Conversion (preferably in Power Quality field)Knowledge in Single line Diagram:interpretation, creation, modification, etcKnowledge in MV equipment:Circuit breakers, Air core reactors, Transformers, Switchgears, Disconnector switches, etcExperience in power quality solutions for industrial (mining,metals,etc..), renewable and utilities is preferred:Statcom and SVCKnowledge in grid code standards is preferredMinimum 2 years in similar positionsABOUT USNidec Conversion is a $600M Business Unit of Nidec Corporation, a $18 Billion+ global company, headquartered in Milan (Italy) and footprint in more than 10 countries.
