We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our finance team and ensure compliance with tax regulations while optimizing our tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other relevant taxes in the Benelux region.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with local, and international tax laws.
- Prepare and maintain documentation to support tax filings and audits.
Tax Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the companys tax position and minimize liabilities.
- Provide tax advice and guidance on business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border activities.
- Collaborate with senior management to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
Audit & Risk Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities during audits and inquiries.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tax positions and defend against potential disputes.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with the finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing training and support on tax-related matters.
- Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the tax function.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare and present tax reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-tax professionals.
- Build strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in tax management, preferably within a multinational corporation or a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Experience in the manufacturing, construction, or heavy equipment industry is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of Dutch and international tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
- Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).

- Dutch citizenship or EU work authorization.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
