Job DescriptionOur Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesThe AutoChem (AUC) group is a rapidly growing, strategic, high-profile business within METTLER TOLEDO. We provide integrated solutions to research scientists in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries. Our instruments enable scientists to prepare, synthesize, analyze, and scale up more products in shorter periods than with conventional chemistry techniques.The Reaction Engineering (RXE) Technology and Application Consultant (TAC) Europe, is responsible for technical and applications support and market development for the METTLER TOLEDO (MT) RXE/CSS business.The RXE TACs are respected in the field for their technical expertise and are constantly learning about our customers'' products, processes, and new application spaces. They partner with top development chemists and chemical engineers, providing technical support across various applications in pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and high-value chemical industries.This position is highly team-oriented, working closely with account management teams, the RXE/CSS Marketing Group, Regional Sales Manager, and TAC Team Leader.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop strong application knowledge and serve as recognized expert in in-situ reaction monitoring technology, process optimization, and development.Participate as an active member of a technical sales team. Provide consultative technical support for the Reaction Engineering product line, and create new opportunities through application feasibility tests (AFTs).Identify and develop application solutions that add high value to the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and high-value chemicals markets.Create and present technical papers at industry seminars, conferences, and symposiums.Build strong technical product knowledge and understanding of competitive and complementary technologies.Transfer knowledge and data from feasibility studies, applications, and publications to product management for development.Provide customer support including on-site training, technical support, and application feasibility studies, both pre- and post-sale.Support customers through consulting and training for new and existing users.What You Need to SucceedDegree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.1-3 years of industry experience as an organic chemist, spectroscopist, or process development chemist.Experience with organic chemistry and reaction calorimetry.Experience in process development, PAT, pharmaceutical industry, or chemical manufacturing preferred.Effective communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and ability to influence industry opinion leaders.Interest in equipment sales or commercial environments.Ability to work in a team and manage individual projects with minimal supervision.Analytical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.Willingness to travel across Europe up to 60% of the time.Our Offer to YouJoin us for challenging projects that foster your entrepreneurial spirit.
