Acquired by Continental in 2019, its core business is the production of thermoplastic hoses and tubes.Job DescriptionTasks at Plant LevelPlan, schedule, and execute procurement activities such as disposition (planning inbound materials) and call-offs (non-production and production materials), including import activities according to standards.Perform supplier management, including capacity management, order confirmation, follow-up to ensure delivery (performance and quality monitoring), and claim management.Operate internal material handling and transportation (internal logistics) for raw materials and finished goods, excluding semi-finished goods, according to standards and planning.Perform production planning and control, including program planning, scheduling, sequencing, and review, based on demand plans, control plans, work instructions, and standards.Manage delivery to customers, including transport planning, dispatch, freight management, customs clearance, and packaging, according to standards.Support customer order management and customer service, addressing local order issues and technical issues through appropriate functions, following standards.Plan and implement investments for supply chain equipment such as forklifts, AGVs, and warehouses, in accordance with standards.Develop and execute the plants logistics concept, including sourcing, delivery, storage, material flow, transportation, and provisioning, aligned with production plans and layout standards.Manage inventory and warehouse operations for all internal plant warehouses, including receiving, shipping, and inventory monitoring.Coordinate operations with external logistics partners, such as third-party logistics providers or managing consignment stock, according to standards.Define and control plant supply chain master data and parameters, such as lot sizes, lead times, and storage information, following standards (with potential central maintenance).Monitor supply chain performance metrics, such as costs, schedule adherence, lead times, and capacity utilization, and identify opportunities for process improvements, including factory layout and logistics simulations.Implement and uphold internal supply chain standards, providing feedback for ongoing development.Lead continuous improvement initiatives using CBS methods and organize relevant training measures.QualificationsUniversity masters degree, preferably in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, business engineering, or a related discipline.At least 5 years of professional experience in various supply chain and purchasing functions.Cross-functional experience in engineering, quality, purchasing, or CBS is preferred.Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in operational units with responsibility for team management.Proficiency in Italian is a MUST.Additional InformationExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects.Ready to drive with Continental?
