The Prosecution Division is responsible for the legal proceedings of all summonses issued by the Taxi & Limousine Commission. This Division includes the Court Unit which investigates and prosecutes over 100,000 summonses each year and the Consumer Complaint Unit who initiates the investigation all complaints made by consumers and the general public. Under the supervision of the Supervising Case Examiner, the duties of the selected candidate will include but are not limited to the following: Communicating and following up with complaining witnesses to gather information, answering questions from licensee representatives, using web portals to access electronic trip records, issuing affidavits to licensees, reviewing compliance submitted by licensees, generating summonses for non-compliance, providing general direction as appropriate, as well as utilizing excellent customer service skills when communicating with the licensee community. The selected candidate may also be assigned general office duties in the Consumer Complaint Unit, as needed, on a day-by-day basis.Minimum Qual RequirementsQualification Requirements1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or2.
