About the role For our dynamic growing, innovativeBrands division within an already established big genericInternational pharmaceutical company, we are looking for anexperienced Medical Affairs field professional who dares to lookoutside the clear-cut frames of a common big pharma MSL job and whowants to operate in an autonomous entrepreneurial way. This joboffers you the opportunity to develop in the broadest sense bybeing engaged in all aspects of the business and manage your owndaily work. You will join a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy,and you will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy andExecution of the Medical projects in but also provide MedicalAffairs support to the Sales and Marketing colleagues of which ademonstrable affinity with seeing commercial opportunities isrequired. You live in Italy and are able to speak English becauseof the communication with the European Management team. You willreport to the Lead Medical Managers Europe. The European Managementteam is located at different places in Europe and the Europeanoffices are in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Major tasks &responsibilities - Development Medical Affairs strategy andexecution Medical scientific projects like scientific publicationsand advisory boards - Identify and develop peer-to-peerrelationships with country KOLs, as well as other influencers andleaders of the scientific and healthcare community, utilizingscientific and medical evidence-based information - Strategicallyprepare and support the development, launch of products throughscientific exchange in melanoma - Support Early Access Programrequests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients - Ensure businesssupport to Italian marketing/commercial/market access Odomzo(sonidegib) indicated for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma -Lead the process to approval of investigator-initiated trials andmonitor progression - Ensure the appropriate dissemination ofclinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipelinecompounds in a timely, compliant and ethical manner - Develop linkswith and support national, regional and local networks inDerma-oncology as well as in future potential TAs - Communicate thelatest emerging data to identified experts, response to unsolicitedhealthcare professional inquiries - Supporting colleagues inorganizing HCP events by providing medical content support tospeakers. Education Qualifications (Graduate- Post Graduate) -Mandatory (bio) medical (scientific) academic degree - Driverslicense Work experience - Mandatory - Minimum of 3 years of MSL orMedical Manager experience in the innovative pharmaceuticalindustry - At least one year experience in a commercial functionwithin the innovative pharmaceutical industry - Mandatory NativeItalian and Fluent in English - Desirable: Dermatology/Oncologyexperience - Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs inItaly Technical skills/job specific competencies - Good scientificlevel - Strategic thinking - Knowledge Dermatology or oncology -Knowledge of regulatory environment and compliance. - Good teachingand Presentation skills - Flexibility, patience - Positive creativemindset to challenges - Likes to interact with HCPs and being inthe field (vs desk)
