Nexeo Belgium is looking for a DevOps Coach Expert to join a large-scale Agile & DevOps transformation program within a major financial institution.
This mission aims to enhance the autonomy and efficiency of product development teams by embedding DevOps best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle. As a DevOps Coach, you will serve as a key enabler of cultural and technical change mentoring squads, facilitating improvements, and ensuring DevOps adoption at scale.
Your responsibilities:
- Coach development squads on modern engineering practices such as:
- Software Craftsmanship, BDD/TDD, Trunk-Based Development
- CI/CD automation
- Agile Testing & Gherkin syntax
- Value Stream Mapping and continuous improvement
- Help squads assess their current DevOps maturity and define actionable improvement plans
- Facilitate collaboration between development teams and tooling teams to ensure proper usage and evolution of the DevOps platform
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in delivery pipelines and support teams in removing them
- Promote the adoption of DevOps tools and mindset across tribes
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and propose relevant innovations
Technical environment includes:
- Languages/Platforms: Java, JavaScript
- Tools & Technologies: Git, Nexus, SonarQube, Fortify, Docker, Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
- Testing Stack: Unit Testing, Automation, Performance Testing, Virtualization
- Release & Collaboration Tools: Full DevOps toolchain
- Development models: Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, XP
Your profile:
- At least 6 years of experience in software development, coaching, and DevOps transformation
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in:
- Continuous integration and deployment
- Agile frameworks and delivery models
- Git, CI/CD, code quality/security scanning tools
- Automation scripting and containerization (Docker is a plus)
- Experience working in or with Agile teams as a developer, tech lead, or coach
- Familiarity with impact mapping, example/story mapping
Soft skills:
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and community-minded
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills
- Strong communicator with influencing capabilities
- Able to foster team collaboration and drive autonomy
- Curious, optimistic, and committed to continuous learning
- Comfortable in multicultural, dynamic environments
Languages:
- English: Full professional proficiency required
- French and/or Dutch: Strong asset for collaboration with teams and stakeholders
