We are looking for a Purchasing Supervisor to join ourteam and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The rolewill report to the Director of Purchasing. Conveniently locatedadjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from theColosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is acontemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services andone of Italys most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences. Mainduties and responsibilities: -Assist in develop and implementpurchasing strategies to source high-quality food, beverages,linens, equipment, and supplies at optimal costs. -Negotiatecontracts with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, anddelivery terms. -Monitor inventory levels and coordinate withkitchen, housekeeping, and operations teams to maintain stocklevels. -Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries, ensuring qualityand quantity meet purchase orders. -Lift, move, and store goods andsupplies, following safety guidelines. -Maintain purchase records,supplier contracts, and pricing data. -Ensure compliance with foodsafety standards, health regulations, and company policies.-Evaluate supplier performance and resolve issues related to orderdiscrepancies or delays. -Work closely with accounting to manageprocurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.-Comfortable working in storage areas, loading/unloading goods, andensuring proper stock organization. -Ability to stand, walk, andperform physical tasks for extended periods. Skills andrequirements: - Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, ora related field. - Strong organizational and problem-solvingskills. - Knowledge of Business Central is highly preferred. - Goodknowledge of English.
