Context
Within our R&D & Production team, you will work hands-on with experimental protocols to characterize cardiac pathology models and the manufacturing of2D or 3D cell culture systems for cardiovascular disease or oncology research.
Main Responsibilities
Market Survey
- Gather and analyze market trends and needs for cardiac disease models
- Identify competitor products and gaps in current offerings
- Provide recommendations to guide future disease-model development
Executing Design of Experiments (DoE)
- Prepare culture media and reagent dilutions
- Seed cells at defined densities according to the DoE matrix
- Record all steps and observations in the lab notebook (LIMS/Excel)
Data Processing & Analysis
- Import raw metrics (viability, marker expression, contractility)
- Create summary tables and plots to compare conditions
- Draft concise experimental summaries with actionable conclusions
3D Cell Culture
- Set up spheroids, hydrogels
- Conduct immunofluorescent staining and confocal imaging
2D/3D Cell Culture System Production
- Support the Production Manager with various production tasks
Deliverables
- Market survey to support decision-making for future disease model development
- Complete experimental records (DoE details, raw results, observations)
- Analyzed datasets with clear graphical outputs
- Updated operational protocols
- Brief reports for each experimental campaign
Environment & Tools
- Equipment: CO2 incubators, laminar-flow hoods, confocal microscope
- Software: LIMS/Excel, GraphPad Prism, R or basic Python notebooks
- Techniques: DoE, 2D & 3D cell culture, immunofluorescence
Candidate Profile
- Masters student in Biology, Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering
- Hands-on experience with cell culture (2D and/or 3D)
- Comfortable with data entry and analysis
- Organized, experimentally rigorous and proactive
Good technical English
Duration & Terms
- 6-month internship, starting July or September 2025
- Based in Montreuil, with partial remote work possible
- Legal internship stipend + partial transport reimbursement
