The Senior Compliance Officer will report to the Head of Compliance and Internal Controls.
Your responsibilities include:
- The area of activities will be compliance risks [especially reg. ML/TF/PF] as well as overlapping operational risks [especially ICT security risks and outsourcing risks]
- The assignment will include data mining, executing, documenting and record keeping as well as internal representation in the above-mentioned field
- Identifying compliance risks by legal and regulatory analysis, overlapping operational risks by analysis of internal processes or even early risk detection
- Maintenance and reconciliation of main- and side-register for legal/regulatory and other risks
- Preparing risk ratings for the identified inherent risks as well as for residual risks
- Preparing the advisory of risk mitigating measures, supporting the operational units and other key stakeholders in drafting risk mitigating policy parts
- Preparation of multi-annual compliance monitoring plans
- Coordination of internal risk controls as performed by other internal second or third line or even externa risk control functions, including the co-ordination of Internal Audits for Compliance related matters
- Performing 2nd line/risk controls for monitoring BoD adopted mitigation measure implementations, including on-site visits at service-provider side [i.a. for BCP/DRP evaluation, in the line of internal AML DD]
- Assessing internal AML reporting/notifications for reporting needs to supervising authorities [especially CRF, but also CSSF and MoF]
- Review of AML relevant client/counterparty relevant Company communication [i.a. AML comfort letters and other self-confirmations]
- Internal reporting to the Head of Compliance about the implementation control results
- Assisting the Head of Compliance in reporting to the BoD about the Companys compliance status and supervisory authorities [especially for ad hoc reporting]
- Organization and/or preparation of external or internal Compliance related training, especially risk awareness training
- Participation in internal Compliance related meetings
- Participation in internal projects like implementation of Compliance relevant ICT [dataset definition for databases, implementation of Compliance monitoring tools]
Your Profile:
- At least 2 years work experience in Luxembourg
- Work experience in a specialized PSF in the field of Trust and Company Service Provision
- Deep understanding of the internal work and data flow and client processes within a PSF
- Experience with PE/VC industry [regulated and un-regulated investment companies] and understanding of the legal, tax and business structural aspects of PE/VC
- Ideally work experience as Regulatory Compliance Officer in a bigger Compliance department
- Bachelor in Business or equivalent degree
- Proven knowledge [examined/certified] of Compliance topics in general [preferable M1 and M2 of the ALCO Master program
- Proven knowledge [examined/certified] Fund Compliance topics [preferable by ALFI]
- Deep understanding and trainings in the fiel
