What we are looking for
SATLANTIS is looking fora Project and System engineer in space-domain projects. The candidate will be located at the Company Headquarters in LEIOA (Bizkaia, Spain).
The candidate will work in an ongoing scientific mission reporting to the upper mission managers at SATLANTIS. Candidates with different levels of experience, from juniors to seniors, will be considered.
A detailed list of the tasks that fall within this area is provided below.
Project & systems engineering tasks:
- Perform system and subsystem interface definition and management.
- Maintaining consistency of interfaces throughout the system development.
- Ensure Model Philosophy traceability within system/subsystems and project phases.
- Review the status of system/subsystem elements and models to identify open issues and potential inconsistencies.
- Flow-down subsystem requirements engineering and components specification and maintain their traceability.
- Verification engineering.
- Maintaining different budgets, which will at least include mass, power, data, reliability, and various performance metrics
- Continuous system/subsystem consistency management.
- System architecting activities.
- Coordinate collaboration among multidisciplinary technical teams ensuring effective communication and integration of diverse expertise to achieve project
goals. - Facilitate effective and efficient work between the different technical disciplines and partners.
- Coordinate with mission system engineer and subsystem managers.
- Ensure early detection of risks to fulfil Instrument requirements.
- Create and maintain updated a list of relevant actions to be adopted and follow up to ensure proper execution.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including deliverables and reports and ensure that all documents are delivered on-time.
Skills and experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunication Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
- Deep passion for technology, hardware/software development, and space missions
- Problem-solving focus, proactivity
- Team spirit, versatility, and creativity
- Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills in English and Spanish (negotiation level).
- A good technological understanding and conversation skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Solid organizational skills including the ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred experience:
- Previous experience in space-domain projects with ESA
- Client-facing and internal communication skills.
- International and multidisciplinary work team experience is an asset
- Experience in the design/analysis/implementation of space missions and/or projects; those related to Earth observation will be favored
- Knowledge/Experience in spacecraft design
- Knowledge/experience in optics, mechanics, electronics, image processing
Languages:
- Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills in English and Spanish (negotiation level).
