Make or BuyDevelops technical and regional / supplier market intelligence for his/her commoditiesIs responsible for implementing the strategy through panel policy for assigned commodityBuilds / qualifies / develops / manages the regional supplier panel for assigned commodity, incl. rationalization of panelDefines and deploys supplier risk assessments & sole, single, dual sourcing plansDefines raw material strategySRMManages relationship with his/her regional suppliers, be the key point of contact for regional suppliersDrives and monitors the selection process of new suppliersBUDGET / FORECASTBuilds budget, forecast, STRAP for assigned commodityMonitors PPI savings on a monthly basis, drive action plansRFQ (off cycle and serial life)Manages RFQ, offer evaluation, negotiation & contracting: frame agreements, off cycle and serial life contractsOptimizes PO payment terms and implement supplier RPAPROJECT SOURCINGProvides supplier vendor list to project buyers before RFQIs responsible for Contracting for suppliers that are new for the siteContributes to final negotiations, ensuring leverage of scale effect across other ongoing projectsValidates supplier selection from project buyers, participate to Project Sourcing CommitteeOPERATIONALDrives sourcing competitiveness initiatives for existing / standard parts, e.g. technical savings with Engineering, RFQ benchmarkIs responsible for re-sourcing in serial lifeIs responsible for contract amendments and renegotiationsIntervenes in major supplier issues escalated (after threshold to site sourcing specialist): COPQ / claims negotiationsLocation: The role could be located at any EU countries where the Wabtec site is in place.
