Forthis position it is required to be available to travel abroad.Construction Mechanical Superintendent is appointed for majorprojects only. He reports to the Construction Manager and will takeresponsibility for the coordination of Mechanical Constructionactivities through the Construction Mechanical Supervisor (MES),the Construction Machinery Supervisor (MCS), the ConstructionEquipment Supervisor (EQS) and Construction Piping Supervisor(PIS). He has direct responsibility on management of MechanicalSubcontractor(s). He will ensure that their performances arecarefully monitored in terms of schedule, quality and cost, and hewill coordinate all necessary recovery actions whenever detectdeviation from schedule or specifications under the guidance ofConstruction manager. He ensures the implementation of all the HSEprocedures and standards for the areas or activities(subcontractors) of responsibilities; He directly participates tothe HSE activities at site as defined for his position in the SiteHSE plan and related procedures Duties and responsibilities -Manages Installation of all Mechanical, Piping, Insulation,Electrical and Instrumentation equipment. - Ensures that theperformance of the mechanical subcontractor(s) is carefullymonitored in terms of schedule, quality and cost and coordinatesthe necessary recovery actions whenever detect deviation fromschedule or specifications; - Monitors actual works to ensureadhering to engineering design, quality and project schedule; -Supervises surveying, inspection and testing of structures; -Controls and approves the Method Statements submitted by theSubcontractors, ensuring their correct application on the field; -Coordinates all necessary recovery actions whenever detectdeviation from schedule or specifications under the guidance ofConstruction manager; - Checks that the equipment and manpoweremployed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that the worksperformed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safetyregulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same; - Preparethe non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinatenonconformity resolution; - Detect any design errors, and wherepossible rectify the same or request the Site Engineer to make thenecessary changes; - Ensures the implementation of all the HSEprocedures and standards; - Directly participates to the HSEactivities at Site for his position in the HSE plan and relatedprocedure. Knowledge & Qualifications - University Degree orDiploma in relevant discipline or equivalent. Experience - Relevantexperience in construction/modernization of industrial sector/ EPCprojects large - Experience in static equipment erection; -Experience in site assembly Tanks and API650; - HVAC installationexperience is mandatory; - Cooling Tower Erection experience ismandatory; - Experience in static/rotating equipment; - At least 3years of experience in the specific discipline; - Experienceworking on Contractor side. - Similar role covered in last threeprojects of comparable size.
