At Gaia we use technology to carry out ecology research. This role is ideal for someone at the start or mid-point of their product career who wants to take ownership and grow with a business that prioritizes real-world impact. You will work cross-functionally with the ecology team, developers, and leadership to optimise our in-house ecological research and planning tool into a powerful, user-focused platform. You should have excellent organisation skills, technical affinity or coding ability as well experience using project management tools such as Asana. About Gaia Gaia Ecology is a young and ambitious ecological research and consultancy startup. Our team consists of ecologists and developers who believe that nature deserves its own spaceeven in the middle of urban expansion. We build tools and deliver services to help our clients make responsible decisions with biodiversity in mind. From large infrastructure projects to local field research, we combine ecology and technology to create smart, scalable solutions. Requirements - Strong communication and project management skills - Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)- Ability to manage and prioritize a product roadmap and backlog - Organise daily standups, sprints and tasks for developers - Prioritise tech developments based on business needs - Technical affinity - Interest in ecology, sustainability, or environmental impact is a strong plus - Eagerness to grow within a scale-up business Educational background Bachelors or Masters degree in any relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Sustainability, Business Administration or similar) Project management training/certification Experience:1-5 years in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role Experience working across functions in an organisation Co mpany Benefits An exciting start-up environment with a fresh, friendly and informal team!
