The position
We are now looking for an experienced Trader who will be joining the companys Liquid Trading team and will become responsible for buying and selling liquid dairy products. The position is based out of Hoogwegts headquarters in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Trading of liquid dairy products (raw milk, condensed milk, cream, etc) across multiple regions: Poland, Baltics, Germany and the Eastern Bloc
- Managing and expanding a portfolio of strong long-term relationships with buyers and suppliers internationally to whom you will have to travel around 20% of your time
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers in order to keep a 360 view on dairy market developments
- Collaborating closely with colleagues to share market insights, increase opportunity development and optimally coordinate the business end-to-end
- Managing positions and performing risk analyses on assigned portfolios
- Depending on the experience and/or ambition you bring, hedging positions and trading futures and options on CME, EEX & NZX will be part of the role
- Supporting the trading team to optimize commercial impact.
The role will report to the Commercial Director, based in Arnhem.
Job requirements
- At least a Bachelors degree
- A minimum of 4 years of track-record in trading in agri commodities, food or feed ingredients or related sector
- Experience in dairy or dairy products is a plus
- Fluency in Polish an English is required; German is a plus
- Value creation drivenness, leaving no stone unturned to optimize margins
- The ability to develop strong and sustainable relationships within the industry
- The ability to develop new opportunities into concrete business opportunities
- Numerically strong and strategically skilled
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to and leverage with different cultures
- Strong understanding of trade risk and regulations
- The ability to work constructively with other departments to optimize the quality of trade and services where needed.
