This position reports to Local Division Supply Chain Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will drive and implement sourcing strategies for Transformers, Motors & System Integration to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and reliability. You will identify, qualify, and develop the best supply base using a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach to exceed customer expectations.

You will ensure alignment with global category teams and Supplier Account Managers (SAMs), and contribute to achieving local business targets by translating strategic priorities into actionable plans. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, TEC CH, PE/Q), you will support both operational and long-term business needs.

The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid.

This role is contributing to the division Motion System Drives in Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Leading local Transformer, Motors & System Integration categories or projects, aligning with global Category Managers, ensuring strategy execution, and meeting or exceeding targets (e.g. cost reductions, supplier OTD, quality, lead times).
2. Developing suppliers in collaboration with global teams, PGs, project management, and mentors, including holding SAM responsibility for selected suppliers.
3. Managing procurement planning, cost budgets, risk mitigation, contract negotiations, supplier agreements, and ensuring compliance with quality, commercial, and company guidelines.
4. Implementing cost-out initiatives, sourcing coordination for packaging projects, budgeting processes, digital tools and dashboards, and driving automation, best practice sharing, and performance accountability.

Qualifications for the role

• You hold a Master of Science in Engineering or Economics.
• You are experienced in project sourcing and category management, with in-depth knowledge of Transformers, Motors, and System Integration (e.g. eHouses, Switchgears, Filters, FinFans, Chillers).
• You bring strong commercial and contractual expertise, including experience with back-to-back setups and conditions.
• You excel at networking and collaboration across divisions, global and local product groups, suppliers, and customers.
• You have a proven track record of fast problem-solving, proactive and independent decision-making, and accountability.
• You demonstrate cultural awareness, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus, and you are open to traveling up to 20%.
