Identify, develop, and implement supplier and product value stream improvement initiatives, including New Product sourcing to support the New Product development team. This involves effective use of the Strategic Sourcing process, Cost Targeting, Supplier Performance Management, and collaboration with planning, Supplier Development, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) processes.Essential FunctionsEnsure team members understand expected results and work processes; support them in closing performance gaps.Develop and maintain Human Development plans for direct reports, focusing on training needs.Achieve agreement with suppliers on cost elements based on shop floor observations and use MKPS to set future targets.Communicate and apply quality and engineering concepts internally and externally.Lead strategic sourcing for commodities, demonstrating lean manufacturing principles and process improvements.Develop and implement contracts and collaborate on VAVE improvements.Manage the regional Supply Management team and support new product sourcing and supplier readiness.Manage relationships and align supplier operating plans with MillerKnoll objectives, supporting Italian plants and finished goods supply.Achieve at least $700,000 in annual cost savings.Travel within UK, Europe, Italy, and possibly internationally.Apply project management principles and lead cross-functional teams.Use market analysis to develop strategies leveraging global influences.Build and maintain contracts and relationships across regions.Perform additional responsibilities as needed.QualificationsRequires a Bachelor''s Degree in business, materials management, finance, engineering, or operations management; Master''s preferred. Minimum 6 years in procurement, with 3+ years managing professionals. Knowledge of business operations, cost analysis, negotiation, and fluency in English and Italian. Ability to interpret financial statements and work across organizational levels. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, project management, and supplier relationship management.#J-18808-Ljbffr
