Do you want to be responsible for custom made engineering projects in the maritime industry? And are you ready to push engineering boundaries? We would like to meet you! Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam is looking for a lead engineer equipment design. In this role youre responsible from the first engineering concepts till delivery of the engineering packages while staying point of contact during production/manufacturing. Since all our projects are one-off, youre already involved in the sales/estimation process to determine the client requests and translate them to proposals/estimations taking risks, planning and budgets into account. During the engineering phase you are responsible for making concepts, designs and engineering models as well as calculations (hand-, excel and FEM) for all types of heavy equipment. You will be managing other engineers and designers during the projects while being point of contact towards our clients. The job is focused on engineering where youll be spending about 60/70% of your time on, but contact with our clients is also an important part of the job. Because our projects are multidiscipline, youll cooperate with our other engineering departments as well. There are multiple projects running at once and with your team youll work on specialized equipment projects for offshore, dredging, subsea, renewable and heavy lifting projects.
