Responsible for the overall management, including clinical and financial responsibilities of Renal Services to ensure safe therapeutic management of the End Stage Renal Disease patient (ESRD).Incorporates customer demand, allocation of resources, provision of care according to ESRD regulations and community needs into the overall planning and management of the Renal Services.Ensures that all procedures for high standards of care delivery, equipment and supplies are maintained according to Title 18 ESRD regulations and Part 405 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Collaborates with the Renal Services Department Head and Chairman to establish and maintain the goals of Renal Services. Integrates nursing activities with other functional areas to achieve organizational and product line goals. Responsible for developing and managing human and material resources within Renal Services (includes personnel and OTPS (other than Personnel budgets). Oversees the development and revision of policies and procedures with the Medical Director to assure consistent, efficient and safe operation of inpatient and outpatient facilities. Collaborates with the Medical Director to maintain a performance improvement program which meets all Title 18 ESRD regulations and part 405, Title 42 of Code of Federal Regulations and Crown Web data submission and to implement corrective actions identified as a result of internal or external reviews. Coaches, empowers, and holds accountable nurse managers in their implementation and evaluation of professional practice and patient care. Oversees Nursing, Social Workers and technical services for patient treatment and assures that appropriate adjustments in treatment plans are developed and implemented and meets compliance with state and federal governing agencies.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION****Qualifications**:REQUIRED: Current NYS RN License and Master''s degree. A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in managing a renal dialysis center. PREFERRED: Experience broadly based in budgeting, management of professional and non-professional groups, information technology and reimbursement systems. Familiarity with current models of care that meet both CMS and NYS DOH regulations.- It is essential that applicants possess a strong work ethic and have experience working with diverse employees and patient populations.
