We are looking for a Dutch-speaking Solution Architect based in the Netherlands to join a government-related digital transformation project. Please note: This role is detachering only no ZZP / freelance contracts, and no sponsorship is available.
About the Role
As a Solution Architect, you will play a leading role in designing and delivering innovative and secure digital solutions that support the ongoing modernization of ICT infrastructure in the Dutch healthcare sector.
Youll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on generic functions that enable different healthcare ICT systems to seamlessly connect and operate together. Your core responsibility will be to steer complex technical challenges towards practical, sustainable solutions.
What Youll Do
- Take ownership of technical architecture design for new software tools and systems.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with software developers, policy advisors, and product owners to implement high-quality, secure applications.
- Apply a privacy- and security-first approach (GDPR, NEN standards).
- Contribute to pilots and proof-of-concepts to explore new digital opportunities.
Requirements
- University-level education or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years as a Solution Architect.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with architecture tools and methodologies: ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML.
- Experience writing functional and technical designs, including project start architecture.
- Knowledge of secure, high-quality software development practices.
- Experience in Agile environments and with open-source solutions.
- Skills in Python, PHP, HTTP, REST; affinity with cryptography is a plus.

- Able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
