About the Role:
We''re looking for a hands-on, technically driven Project Design Engineer to join our innovative R&D team. You''ll work at the forefront of machinery development, driving concept creation, prototyping, and performance testing through to project handover. This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, values technical depth, and enjoys both individual and collaborative project work.
What You''ll Do:
- Design and build custom test setups and prototypes
- Conduct detailed calculations and performance analysis
- Drive concept development and hands-on engineering solutions
- Analyse test results and refine designs accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition prototypes to production
- Take ownership of planning, budgeting, and project coordination
- Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Occasionally lead smaller project workstreams
Tech Stack & Tools:
- Python (ML/AI experience is a plus)
- Excel, LabView
- Mechanical or mechatronic design tools
- PLC knowledge (nice to have)
Your Background:
- Master''s degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
- Around 4 years of experience (flexible for the right candidate)
- Practical experience with machinery design and development
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Dutch-speaking preferred; strong English-only candidates considered
