Quant Developer / Data Scientist - Contract
Oliver James is partnering with a global Energy provider business based in Zurich and Baden to find a Quant Developer to work on a long-term contract basis (budgeted until end of 2026).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of a large R framework (with packages, interfaces & dependencies) from older platforms to MDS & Monet
- Ensure clean reconciliation of large Market Datasets
- Modernize tools using REST APIs and JSON
- Help streamline code deployment (Git cloud platforms)
- Advise on R best practices in a cloud environment
Requirements
- Expert-level R skills (in Risk/Finance ideal)
- Experience leading data or system migrations
- Solid understanding of APIs, JSON & cloud deployments
- Excellent stakeholder management skills in both German and English
- Experience leading cross functional teams in complex organisations, ideally within Switzerland
Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 12-month initial contract, with potential for extension
