Medication Technician (Sunday- Thursday)This position provides direct care and medication assistance to residents, ensuring safety and compliance with community standards. Responsibilities include:Personal Care AssistanceLaundry/HousekeepingKitchen SupportBus AssistanceJob Duties:Essential Functions:Maintain medication security and accountability during shifts.Inventory and reconcile controlled substances accurately, counting with another associate when responsibilities change.Review medication administration records for errors after each medication pass.Ensure medication-related care follows safety protocols and state regulations.Verify residents who self-administer medications weekly, and document accordingly.Review medication records for errors and complete incident and error reports with physician notification.Handle medication reorders, including PRN medications.Verify residents'' ability to self-administer medications weekly.Fax doctors orders to pharmacies and check resident files daily for signatures.Assist with activities of daily living and personal environment as needed.Added Responsibilities:Respond to work setting changes appropriately.Familiarize with Crescendo Senior Living policies and attend in-service training.Perform other assigned duties.Accountabilities:Act on feedback to improve performance.Maintain confidentiality and respect resident rights.Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.Follow safety procedures and report abuse or neglect.Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and stay awake during shifts as per regulations.Job Specifications:Must be 18+, with required health and background clearances.Preferably have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience.Possess valid First Aid, CPR, CNA certification, and meet continuing education requirements.Fluent in English.Effort:Maintain alertness and physical stamina, including lifting up to 75 pounds and pushing 50 pounds.Have good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity.Working Conditions:Willing to work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, and holidays.Work environment is typically moderate to noisy.#J-18808-Ljbffr
