Were looking for a Data Engineer with strong Python skills to join a modernization initiative in the financial sector. The goal is to transition critical Mainframe systems to a distributed platform, delivering robust, scalable solutions for share registration with regional CSDs. This is a hybrid project requiring business trips to Frankfurt, Germany: 3 days/week onsite for the first 4 weeks Then 3 days every 2 weeks Key Responsibilities Develop data solutions in Python for registering/de-registering financial assets Design and implement data pipelines, data models, and ETL processes Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data Support the modernization and migration of legacy systems Contribute to production support, enhancements, and ongoing project improvements Collaborate within an Agile team environment Your Profile Strong Python development skills Proven experience in data engineering, including: Database development Data warehousing Data pipelining Distributed data processing Familiarity with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Marts, and Data Mesh concepts Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, especially in big data environments Experience working with various data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured) Comfortable working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) Fluent English both written and spoken Willingness to travel to Frankfurt as per project setup
