Job description:

This Oracle team is responsible for the infrastructure part of Database as a Service (DBaaS) - a cloud database offering that provides customers with access to a database without having to deploy and manage the underlying infrastructure. DBaaS is delivered as a managed database service, which means that the provider takes care of patching, upgrading, and backing up the database.

DBaaS enables companies to save time and money while simplifying complex data management tasks. Here are some of the most common benefits that organizations have gained from DBaaS technology:

What you''ll be responsible for as a part of this team:

• Setup and installation: You will handle all the initial setup and configuration of the infrastructure related to our Databases.
• Backup and recovery
• Security
• Scalability

Your ideal experience:

Cloud Platforms:

• AWS, GCP, Azure ( understanding of at least one)
• IAM, VPC, networking, autoscaling, load balancing

Linux Systems Administration:

• knowledge of Linux internals, systemd, networking, filesystems

Database & Storage Systems:

• MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra
• Backup strategies, replication, performance tuning
