HPC System Engineer (F/M) Become part of an innovative team managing one of Europe''s leading supercomputers, MeluXina, at the forefront of High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence. We are looking for someone with a strong background in systems engineering and platform management, who is passionate about solving complex problems and eager to grow in a fastpaced, innovative setting. In this role you will focus on the management of our data platforms as well as contribute to projects aiming to enhance our future data and compute systems. Your role consists in: Implementing, managing and enhancing supercomputing infrastructures, support systems and operational services. Ensuring the high availability, resiliency and security of computing and data services provided to customers, troubleshooting and resolving issues and outages. Monitoring and analyzing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency. Reporting on supercomputing platforms'' utilization, performance and availability. Contributing to the organizational efforts to develop and implement new Cloud interfaces, and portals enabling customers to take advantage of supercomputing infrastructures. Contributing to the departmental efforts to treat Infrastructure as Code, designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines, incorporating automated testing and deployment strategies. Writing and maintaining technical documentation and documentation for end-users. Collaborating with other teams to ensure delivery of high-quality services to customers. Staying up to date with the latest technologies and providing recommendations for process improvements and tooling upgrades. Profile: University degree (Master preferred) in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a closely related field. Proven experience in system administration of Linux environments, in a System Engineering similar role, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Strong experience with storage and network filesystems (parallel filesystems experience is an asset). Hands-on experience with software defined storage solutions and object storage is an asset. Hands-on knowledge of scalable system management tools (e.g. Satellite, Foreman, xCAT), and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet). Excellent knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Icinga, OpenSearch/Kibana). Excellent knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell, Lua). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural team environment. Excellent command of written and spoken English is a must. Good control of French and/or German is a plus. What''s in it for You?
