Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial transactions.
Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) in recording financial data.
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
Generate financial reports and analysis for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, collaborating with relevant departments to gather necessary data.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.
Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Maintain records and documentation for tax reporting purposes.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any findings or recommendations.
Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with wage and hour regulations and company policies.
Calculate and withhold payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and other payroll-related obligations.
Manage accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, verifying expenses, and making payments to vendors.
Handle accounts receivable processes, including invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
Manage fix functions, including additions and disposals of fixed assets, depretiation calculation and booking
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
Utilize accounting software and systems to perform financial tasks efficiently and accurately.
Assist in the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes as needed.
Collaborate with other departments such as finance, operations, and procurement to ensure alignment of financial activities with business objectives.
Provide financial expertise and support to other functional areas as required.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor''s degree in Business or related field
Minimum of three years of experience as na accountant or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP, IFRS rules
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficient in both English and Spanish languages.
