Requirements Engineer ALTEN Belgium
The Position
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Requirements Engineer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Brussels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (POs, UX/UI, developers...) to gather and clarify requirements
- Document high-quality system/software requirements for in-vehicle applications
- Propose solutions to potential design concerns and build stakeholder consensus
- Review and iterate on requirements through team feedback
- Lead sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
- Manage the product backlog and track sprint progress
- Communicate status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders and management
- Support the team in overcoming blockers and workload peaks
- Assist in manual and automated software testing when needed
- Contribute to the improvement of tools and processes supporting development
Your Profile
- 45 years of relevant experience in software or systems engineering
- Strong background in Embedded Systems or similar technical domains
- Skilled in translating stakeholder input into clear, structured requirements
- Familiar with system architecture
- Experience with tools like Codebeamer, Jama, or similar
- Proven Scrum Master experience: sprint planning, backlog management, stakeholder alignment
- Comfortable using Jira or equivalent tools
- Experience with manual and automated testing
- Strong communicator and team player
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
- Fluent in English
