Project Description
Scalian is supporting the digital transformation of a major industrial player by implementing smart data architectures that connect manufacturing systems with advanced analytics and AI. As part of this initiative, we are building a data-driven ecosystem to streamline decision-making, enhance traceability, and enable predictive capabilities across production environments.
To lead this effort, we are looking for a Senior Data Manager with a cross-functional profile who can define and implement robust, scalable data strategies, ensuring long-term performance and alignment with operational goals.
Your tasks will involve:
- Define and lead the implementation of the data architecture strategy across the organization
- Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance data storage and retrieval systems
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts between MES, AI, and IT teams
- Guide the integration of manufacturing execution systems (MES) into broader data ecosystems
- Drive best practices in data governance, security, and quality management
- Support the design and optimization of data lakes and modern warehousing solutions
Your strengths
- Over 6 years of experience in data management, engineering, or architecture roles
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Information Systems
- Strong experience with data lake architectures and cloud-based warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and system scalability
- Experience working with MES systems and AI-related data flows
- Comfortable leading cross-functional teams and strategic data initiatives
- Fluent in English and ideally proficient in French
