Additional Amex entities operate in Insurance and Loyalty programs.High Level ResponsibilitiesServe as the Senior Compliance Officer for all compliance matters related to American Express in Italy (AXP ITALY), advising the Boards and Committees, and being a member of the Executive Team.Lead the compliance program, helping local management set the tone at the top and ensuring regulatory risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and controlled across entities, lines of business, and products.Ensure an effective Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing compliance program aligned with Italian laws, AXP Spain policies, and American Express global policies.Act as the key escalation point for regulatory compliance issues, including AML/CTF decisions requiring resolution.Ensure compliance program execution aligns with local and global requirements and serve as the primary contact for Italian regulators.Engage in Italian financial community activities, such as consultations, round tables, and lobbying efforts, in collaboration with other Amex departments.Manage a structured team of compliance professionals dedicated to AXP ITALY, providing oversight and guidance.Report directly to the European Consumer Compliance Head and be part of the International Compliance Leadership team.Required Skills / QualificationsExtensive experience in financial services compliance and AML, specifically related to Italian Cards/Payments industry, with deep knowledge of Italian regulations for Payment Institutions.Strong network and experience interacting with Italian regulators and authorities, with influence skills in a complex organizational environment.Proven leadership skills to engage with senior management and act as a trusted compliance advisor.Proactive problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management abilities, with a track record of leading compliance programs at a senior level in Italian financial institutions.Ability to align compliance strategies with business objectives, manage large change initiatives, and communicate effectively about compliance rationale.Skill in negotiating within complex matrix environments and fostering strong relationships within compliance teams.#J-18808-Ljbffr
