Position Overview Realize functional prototypes of the disposables systems and subsystems for TransMedics' Organ Care System (OCS) according to specifications, bringing design to life and enabling Design Engineers and Process Engineers to assess functionality and manufacturability. Apply hands-on technical skills and work intensively with the development team to deliver the requested prototypes in a timely manner, keeping rigorous traceability, highlighting eventual deviation from original design and, recording of the configurations he/she builds and drafting procedures allowing the realization of prototypes/measurements/analysis in a repeatable and reproducible way. Transfer prototyping outcomes in an objective way, translating as much as possible feeling into physical data. Key Responsibilities Realize functional prototypes of disposable devices, equipment and tools, from initial technical specification or indication Supports Assembly technologies assessment, Testing methodology assessment, Materials testing Maintain tools and equipment according to the established plans Apply new and current technologies, tools, methods and apply existing ones (e.G. Additive manufacturing, prototype molds, CNC etc.), reinforcing the way we work Collaborate to the definition of technical solutions for new products design and to sustain existing products lifecycle Apply and constantly improve knowledge of technology Support the technical feasibility analysis for systems and subsystems, as well as the investigation of product issues to identify root causes Understand and correctly translates product requirements into design Ensure a clean, safe and healthy workplace (as a prime concern) Requirements ITS or high school diploma 5+ years experience in similar role Knowledge of engineering materials, prototyping technologies and manufacturing processes Understanding of mechanical design principles Knowledge of subsystems used in medical devices Excellent attention to detail and spatial visualization skills Highly motivated to enhance the products, the techniques and consequently the life of the patients Ability to work in an international environment Perfect Italian language; good communication in English is a plus Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Willingness to relocate to Mirandola, Italy
