Investment Risk andSuitability Specialist Paris or Luxemburg As an Investment Riskand Suitability Specialist, your main responsibility will be toprovide oversight and assurance to management that processes andcontrols defined for the delivery of our investment services andportfolio management activities have been complied with. To thatend, you will help define and maintain a robust Investment Risk andSuitability framework and perform regular controls, reviews andreporting. The Investment Risk and Suitability Specialist willreport to the Head of Investment Risk and Suitability (Europe).Your Mission : - Perform investment risk and suitability related1st line of defense checks and controls to ensure client-facingstaff conduct their sales, discretionary and advisory relatedactivities in accordance with established processes and regulatoryrequirements. - Perform daily monitoring such as approved products,risk budgets, etc. - Propose remediation activities to addressnon-compliance situation and ensure remediation activities arecarried out and closed in a timely manner by the business. -Provide regular reporting to management and relevant oversightfunctions on operating effectiveness of established processes andcontrols. - Rollout, train, and advise business unit on applicableprocesses and controls. This includes conducting regular refreshertraining for staff to ensure risk and control awareness is high. -Follow-up and ensure that agreed remediation actions (includingaudit recommendations and self-assessment action points) areadequate and completed within agreed deadlines. - Contribute to theevolution and continuous relevance of the activities and reportingmade by the Investment Risk and Suitability team by pro-activelyidentify new needs stemming from regulatory or business-relateddevelopments. - Use the knowledge and understanding of the LOESAbook of business to support IS related or LOESA projects and ad-hocrequests requiring IRS expertise. Your Profile : - Master and/orBachelor in finance/economics - At least 5 years of relevantexperience in portfolio management, risk management and suitabilityin private banking - Comprehensive knowledge of applicableregulations (European and national jurisdiction in LOESAs scope)and financial instruments - Proven ability to manage, review, andmonitor regulatory-related and business projects independently -Analytical skills, detailed focus - Excellent communication skillsand ability to interact with various stakeholders - Independent aswell as team player - Strong MS Excel skills with programming skillan advantage - English oral and written capabilities NB: Please beaware that in accordance with the current law and job requirements,the selected candidate will be requested to provide a criminalrecord (section 3).
